The !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! interceptor in production at Convair’s San Diego factory, where they built 277 F-106As plus 63 two-seat F-106Bs. The last “Six” was retired by the Air National Guard in 1988, and NASA retired their final F-106 in 1991.

You know you’re dealing with a wacky and/or impractical plane when you have to mention that NASA was playing with them *after formal retirement*. *From the ANG*.

Mmm, Cold War budgets. I like the old green camo planes. Remember when the F-16 and A-10 were painted green?
I’d like to get a closer look at that F-86 hiding back there...

Green A-10 is best A-10. Also, I miss the green C-5 and C-141

That is, unless I miss my guess, N91FS , a Canadair CL-13 Sabre formerly of Flight Systems Inc, and now on display at Palmdale Plant 42.

I’d say you nailed it. Nice detective work there, Lou.
